Cars
Pick a class or a car to see its braking grip, example braking distances and class tips. Grip values are estimates until measured from telemetry.
GT4
Production-based race cars with ABS, modest downforce and road-car weight. The usual next step after the MX-5 and the class most iRacing road racers spend their first seasons in.
GT3
The main sports-car class: more power, more downforce and stronger brakes than GT4, with adjustable ABS and traction control.
MX-5 and entry cars
Light, low-power cars with no real downforce. Grip barely changes with speed, so the braking zone is about weight transfer and rotation rather than aero.
Formula and open wheel
Single-seaters from Formula Vee to Formula 1. No ABS, so holding too much pedal locks a wheel. The faster cars gain a lot of grip with speed, so the first metres of the zone take far more pedal than the end.
